in super mario 64, how do you get to the to the top of the castle?

you need all 120 stars and then can get shot up there from the cannon, that is located by the pond outside of the castel that you get shot into from the dark hole in dyer dyer docks!

The wooden sign theres cannon should be open if youve gotton all 120 stars hop in and the cannon the pond and shoot too high though or you wont make sure not to shoot too high though or.
