PS3 or XBOX or Wii ?

I want Call Of Duty for PS3 (my friend has it) and SOCOM 4 (coming out Sep. 08). I only want a few games for each system.
Please, are there any downsides like overheating or freezing up problems you’ve experienced with any system?
Or any really cool things?
