What should I do? wii-ps2+ps3-$$ or wii+ps2?

I also have a ps2 but the sports games are getting worse in that 2 because everyone is concentrating on making the ps3 games good and neglecting the ps2. I have 30+ ps2 games and dont have the desire to keep any of them had i got a ps3.
Can ps2 games play on ps3?
should i wait til the sports games get better for wii or buy a ps3 and still keep the wii?
